COVID Safety Precautions (Subject to Change)
We want you all to know that your family's health and wellbeing is our priority! We pledge to provide a sanitary environment by practicing these precautions daily:
  1. Health Assessments- Children arriving must be fever/symptom free. Per Health Department, symptoms include congestion, runny nose, cough, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting, etc.
  2. A strict 24+ hour free policy for illnesses including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. Many communicable diseases require more than 24 hours and will be based off the recommendation of the health department on those occurrences.
  3. Quick Drop-off and Pick-Up- Entryway and/or classroom door reduces the amount of time families are in the building and/or in contact with others.
  4. Reduced teacher-staff ratios- The state has returned to normal group sizing, but we are committed to small classroom sizes.  Class sizes will range between 8-12 children to 1 teacher depending on age group. With our large square footage and small class sizes, we can appropriately meet the guidelines.
  5. Masks- Optional for students and teachers.
  6. Sanitary Environment- Materials will be disinfected after each use and all toys/materials in the classroom will be sanitized at the end of each day. Students will also have their own pencil box of materials to reduce shared materials.
  7. COVID test- If a teacher or child within the preschool has a positive COVID-19 result, Ms. Brittany's Preschool, LLC will contact ODJFS and our local health departments and follow their procedures. You will be notified immediately in writing of the positive case and health department's protocols.
  8. With respect to the health department policies, we also require a quarantine. If your family is required to quarantine, Please know we will have several options for your child's learning during that time. These options would become available in the unfortunate event that your child must miss school.
In these trying times, procedures seem to be changing daily. Please know that we will stay on top of the changes occurring, so that we can continue to evolve our procedures for your family's safety. Communication is key! We will always reach out to keep you in the know as any changes occur. Thank you!
